Our bodies and our planet earth are miracles in danger.
Many of us are realizing we
need to change lifestyle practices that are compromising the health of our
bodies and our home - the planet earth. The old way clearly isn’t working, and
we need to learn how to live and build in an environmentally responsible way if we want
to have a healthy planet for us and our children to enjoy. In addition, it is time to
take responsibility for our own physical health and learn how to limit
unnecessary exposure to disease and allergy-causing chemicals that are in many
common home/office use products, building materials, as well as often hiding in surprising corners
and surfaces.
Why Go Green?
1. Save money - Energy costs are rising - using energy/water-saving
products, reducing waste and learning how to conserve energy, will save money.
Fewer doctor bills in the future will lessen what can be a great expense.
2. Protect health - Over time, many toxins and chemicals in your home
can build up in the body and overload its systems causing serious health
issues. They also contribute to allergies and less serious problems. Build or remodel with materials that won't out-gas dangerous chemicals, degrading indoor air quality.
3. Protect our home
the planet earth – Our insatiable
energy use, excessive carbon dioxide emissions and disregard of nature’s
natural balance in almost all areas is causing our planet to change in damaging
ways that it may not be able to recover from. It is the only home we have –
let’s do what we can to stop abusing it. It is important to consider conserving natural resources when building or remodeling.
Perhaps the question to ask yourself is not why
should you change to a more green lifestyle, but - why wouldn’t you?
